In a therapeutic setting, it is important for you to feel connected and understood in order to heal, become empowered, and make a positive change for your well-being. As a therapist, my style and approach is one of collaboration and engagement through dialogue in a non-judgmental setting. My office serves as a welcoming and private space for you to freely discuss your issues. A solution-focused approach is developed to assist you in reaching your treatment goals and ultimately achieve balance in your life.
My purpose is to individualize treatment to your specific need; therefore a variety of techniques and strategies may be employed in order to assist you. Treatment methods used during therapy depend on the reason for seeking counseling. My preferred approaches are strengths-based, cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and solution focused brief therapy (SFBT). These approaches are designed to empower, elicit change, connect your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, as well as focus on desired outcomes in therapy. I will work with you to help build the skills and confidence needed to resolve issues that are negatively affecting your day to day functioning.
